LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu’s Marine Corps League will be bringing back the Marine Corps Birthday Ball.  The Lake Havasu Marine Corps League is a volunteer organization with roughly 160 veterans from Armed Forces branches. The many events that the group puts together are usually fundraisers in an effort to develop goodwill in the community. The group provides assistance to veterans along with their families who may be in need.  The Marine Corps League is also partnered with Be Connected, a service that provides veterans assistance with education, housing, employment, physical health and much more. Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club presented Linda Miller with the club’s November Citizen of the Month award at its November 3rd meeting. Among her community contributions, Miller has served with Girl Scouts as a Brownie through Cadette troop leader and as director of the Arizona Cactus-Pine Girl Scout Council. She has also served on most Soroptimist board positions, volunteers at Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce, Kingman Art Center, Beale Street Theater, Rotary and is a member of Gamma Omega Sorority.
