16th Annual Havasu Memorial Walkway honors freedoms

LAKE HAVASU CITY – For the past 16 years, the Havasu Memorial Walkway has been keeping the residents of Lake Havasu close to their departed loved ones. The Havasu Memorial Walkway has an open invitation for anyone who wishes to be included.   Simply provide a brick donation where it will be preserved forever along the Bridgewater Channel under the London Bridge. Swimmer drowns at Lake Havasu

LAKE HAVASU – A suspected drowning at Lake Havasu is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Boating Safety Division personnel responded at about 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10 to the area near The Islander RV Park. Authorities learned that a woman disappeared after jumping from a boat for a swim. “When she entered the water, her improperly secured life jacket came off,” said MCSO public information specialist Anita Mortensen. “The victim began to panic, then went below the surface of the water.” Rescue divers deployed in the area were unable to locate the victim. Andy Devine ADA Improvement Project Begins

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Starting on Monday, March 11th, the City of Kingman will undertake the Andy Devine ADA Improvement project, which is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The project will address the ADA needs on Hall Street, Johnson Avenue, Broadway Avenue, and East Andy Devine Avenue. During the project’s duration, there will be lane restrictions and intermittent closures. BCSD telecommications planned outage Monday morning

BULLHEAD CITY – Telephones, internet and other networking for the Bullhead City School District won’t be functioning for several hours Monday morning (March 11), due to a planned upgrade. The outage should have a minimal effect, as it is the first day of BCSD’s spring break. The district’s technology staff will be updating a key electrical system beginning at 5:30 a.m. Service should be fully restored within several hours.
