KINGMAN, Ariz. – From May 13, 2024, to May 22, 2024, there will be street closures and detours in place for the Kingman Route 66 Street Drags. See the schedule below:
Starting at 5:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 15:
Closure of Andy Devine Avenue/Route 66 from Harrison Street to Navajo St. A detour route will provide access to Hoover St. and Navajo St. from Airfield Ave. Concrete barrier placement on Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 begins, along with construction of the timing system and trusses.
Thursday, May 17 at 7:00 a.m.:
Closure of Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 from Harrison St. to Fairgrounds Boulevard. Navajo St. will be closed from Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 to Ashfork Ave. Kingman Ave. will be restricted to one-way traffic only from Harrison St. to Navajo St. Harrison will remain open from Pasadena Ave. to Fire Station 22. A detour will route traffic between the closure from Airfield Ave. and Fairgrounds Blvd.
Monday, May 20 at 7:00 a.m.:
Kingman Ave. will be open to two-way traffic. Harrison St. will remain open from Pasadena Ave. to Fire Station 22. All race participants will be removed from Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 from Harrison St. to Fairgrounds Blvd. Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 opened from Harrison St. to Fairgrounds Blvd. by 5:00 p.m. Andy Devine Ave/Route66 from Navajo St. to Airfield Ave. will open by 5:00 p.m. Navajo St. from Andy Devine Ave./Route66 to Ashfork Ave. will be opened by 5:00 p.m. Hoover St. from Andy Devine Ave./Route66 to Kingman Ave. will be opened by 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 a.m.:
Continue clearing concrete barriers and timing system from Navajo St. South and Harrison St. North on Andy Devine Ave./Route 66.
Wednesday, May 22 at 7:00 a.m.:
Final removal of all equipment from Andy Devine Ave./Route 66 and opened by 5:00 p.m.
