Microburst lifts awning into power lines

BULLHEAD CITY – On Thursday, April 25 at 4:15 p.m., 948 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in the North Square of Golden Shores/Topock experienced an outage for 1 hour and 33 minutes caused by a microburst that blew an awning into the power lines. Mayhem Madness

The 4th Annual Mayhem Motorcycle Rally brought hundreds of riders to Bullhead City last weekend despite a bit of rough weather Saturday afternoon that saw heavy rainfall and some flash flooding in the region. The annual event which kicked off Thursday with a ride along by Bullhead City Mayor Steve D’amico leading the official kickoff of the event. Annual Desert Storm fun in Lake Havasu City 

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu’s annual Desert Storm celebration made a splash last week with excursions around the lake, street parties, poker runs, shootouts, and the fun seemed never ending for boat enthusiast everywhere. This was the 26th annual occasion for one of the largest boating performance events in the west coast. Annual Burro BBQ is coming

BULLHEAD CITY – The Rotary Club of Bullhead City will be hosting the 73rd Annual Burro BBQ on Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be live music, a kid’s zone and lots of smoked and barbecued meats. Critical Arizona drought relief moves forward

Reward offered for missing woman

A $10,000 reward is offered for information that helps determine what happened to a woman who went missing in neighboring Yavapai County more than six weeks ago. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reports that 35-year-old Shayna Feinman had been living with others on a 40-acre ranch between Seligman and Peach Springs. Feinman reportedly never returned after walking into the woods enroute to her friend’s house on March 9.
