Cancer survivor sews to help cancer patients

KINGMAN – Pat Hahn, a local woman who is a breast cancer survivor, works every day sewing a variety of items for pre-op breast cancer patients. Hahn, 84 years old, decided to assist new pre-op cancer patients with the crucial two weeks or so after their surgery in order to make their lives easier. Her organization is Women Helping Women with Breast Cancer. Bullhead woman killed in weekend crash

BULLHEAD CITY – A weekend motorcycle fatality is under investigation in Bullhead City. Police report that a Harley Davidson tricycle motorcycle struck the curb at Highway 95 and Baseline Road at about 6:10 p.m. on Sat., April 27. Its operator Charleen Babcock, 74, Bullhead City was ejected. Police said Babcock was wearing a helmet but died of her injuries following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. No injuries in house fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, a fire was reported by the resident in the 2300 block of Palo Verde Blvd N. The occupant discovered smoke and flames in the kitchen and evacuated the residence. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
