Not far from our former home in Avondale flows the Agua Fria River. I have, on many occasions, observed people fishing from its banks, wondering if the fish were good to eat. That question was answered for me when warning signs were posted. In bold, red letters, each sign states: “Warning! Do not eat fish taken from these waters. KINGMAN – The Kingman Clean City Commission and the Kingman Sanitation Department have announced the specially discounted, quarterly trash haul cleanup for the last week in March, and the entire month of April. While it’s tempting to head out on an off-highway vehicle (OHV) following rain or a snowstorm, soggy trails quickly turn muddy, and riding on them can create long-lasting damage that negatively impacts wildlife habitat.  The Arizona Game and Fish Department advises OHV riders that come upon wet and muddy roads to resist the urge to hit the gas and instead turn around or avoid the area.
