KINGMAN – Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club is hosting the 12th Annual Brews and Brats Oktoberfest. This event will take place on Friday October 4, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, October 5, 10 a.m. to 10 .pm. in downtown Kingman’s Metcalfe Park at 315 W. Beale St. Local craft beer, bratwurst and sauerkraut, pretzels, soda, live entertainment, games, vendors will all be available with free admission! Judge rules that early signage illegal for Prop 415 opponents

MOHAVE COUNTY – A ruling by a judge in Kingman favors Bullhead City’s position that political signs supporting a “No” vote on Proposition 415 were put up about two weeks early.  Mohave County Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen’s denial of a request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) allows the city to enforce its statutory interpretation that some 75 signs must be taken down because they can’t legally be posted until September 5, 60 days before voters decide the ballot proposition in the general election. Grand Canyon Overflow Park and Ride for Labor Day Weekend

Grand Canyon – The Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Tusayan will be added as a free park and ride location for park visitors from Aug. 30 through Sept. 2, 2019, to alleviate some of the holiday traffic.  The Grand Canyon shuttle bus will add the airport stop to its Tusayan route, which begins at 8 a.m. and runs every 15 to 20 minutes until 9:45 p.m. The shuttle bus is free; however, riders must present a valid park pass upon boarding to ride the bus. BULLHEAD CITY – When crosstown rivals Mohave and River Valley High Schools kick off the first football game at the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse on Friday, visitors are reminded to bring patience, but leave backpacks and chewing gum at home. Paint party renews old downtown building

KINGMAN – A row of painters that included Police Chief Bob Devries, Finance Director Tina Moline, Public Works Director Rob Owen and Chamber of Commerce President Becky Fawson worked Thursday morning to cover the orange and green color scheme that formerly decorated the Smoke Shop in downtown Kingman. Federal authorities provided permission to repaint the building at 417 Beale Street that was forfeited to the U.S. Marshals office and will be put on the market for sale.
