Burn ban, wind advisory issues for Colorado River area

BULLHEAD CITY – Due to anticipated gusty north winds and critical fire weather conditions- Bullhead City Fire Marshal Jim Dykens has implemented a No Burn Ban beginning today, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 11, ending at 8 a.m.

The National Weather Service advised: gusty north winds of 35 to 45 mph will spread across the region Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Strongest winds will be along and near the Colorado River Valley, where wind gusts to 50 to 60 mph will be possible Wednesday night through Friday morning. These conditions can create hazardous driving and boating conditions and critical fire weather conditions.
