KINGMAN – For September’s Downtown Kingman’s First Friday local art will be featured. Besides lots of lovely art to look at and buy, there will be music, food, drinks, and fun on Beale Street. Join in for a fun evening of community-centered R&R! There will be music to enjoy while you check out the other offerings. Animal control looking for dog

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are looking for a dog for standard quarantine procedures after a recent dog bite.  A 23-year-old male reported that on Thursday, August 8 at about 8:30 p.m., a stray dog bit him on his leg as he was riding his bicycle in the 1100 block of Hancock Road. The dog then ran away in an unknown direction. The dog is described as a silver and/or blue & white Pitbull mix. ACW officers searched the area, but have not found the dog. The Mohave Community College Information Technology Department recently received a 2019 Campus Technology Impact Award.  Submissions for the five categories and 12 awards came in from colleges and universities around the world, according to the higher education online magazineCampus Technology. One injured in rollover

KINGMAN – Police believe monsoon season storm activity was a factor in a Wednesday, Aug. 7, crash during which a 2001 Ford sedan came to rest upside down on Andy Devine Avenue. Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the incident occurred about 5:20 p.m. in the 400 block of the thoroughfare. Cooper the sedan operated by a 75-year-old Kingman woman veered into the lane of a 2018 Cadillac that was also eastbound.  “The vehicles made slight contact, at which point the driver of the Ford sedan made corrective action which caused her vehicle to pitch and roll,” Cooper said.
