Plans for Kingman Perkins store on hold

 It was nearly four years ago when the community first learned of plans to build a Perkins Restaurant and Bakery in Kingman. Those involved made it clear that construction wouldn’t likely begin until late 2017 or 2018 at the project site between Interstate 40 and the rear of the new Safeway shopping complex.   The city approved plans for the 5,258 square-foot eatery that can seat up to 257 people. Five new virus cases confirmed tonight; 69 positives in Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 22, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified tonight of 5 new positive COVID-19 cases. The first four are all in the Kingman service area. Two of those are in the 55-64 age range; one is in the 45-54 age range and one is in the 20-44 age range.  The final case is in the Lake Havasu City service area and the person is in the 20-44 age range. BHC candidates facing court challenges

BULLHEAD CITY – Four Bullhead City council hopefuls are facing candidacy challenges in Mohave County Superior Court. Separate legal actions have been submitted that allege they failed to collect enough valid signatures on nominating petitions to qualify for the August-November election cycle.   Those facing candidacy challenge include re-election seeking incumbents Mark Clark, Tami Ring and Kathy Bruck. Prospective candidate Waheed Zehri is also facing challenge.   The lawsuits are being scheduled for hearings next week before Judge Lee Jantzen.
