Coronavirus: One new positive case in Kingman, bringing total to 50 for county

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 15, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing was notified this morning of one new positive COVID-19 case in the Kingman service area. The individual is in the 45-54 year old age range, in isolation and recovering at home. The contact investigation has been initiated by our public health nurses and it has been determined that this case is not epi-liked to another confirmed case nor is it travel-related. MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 15, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified today of a positive COVID-19 case in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual, is in the 65+ age range, and is currently hospitalized. BHC school board meeting to be livestreamed; public comments should be submitted

BULLHEAD CITY – For the second time in a week, a local school board will hold its monthly meeting via videoconferencing.  Thursday night’s governing board meeting of the Bullhead City Elementary School District will be conducted by videoconference due to COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.  The April 16 meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube and accessible to the public.  Call to the public comments will be accepted in advance. LAKE HAVASU CITY – As high unemployment continues due to the current worldwide health crisis, one popular tourist destination in western Arizona is battling food insecurity. In Lake Havasu City, the local convention and visitors bureau, is teaming with the Lake Havasu Hospitality Association (LHAA), representing the city’s hotels, restaurants, RV park and campgrounds, and rental services, to offer meal vouchers to hundreds of unemployed hospitality employees who have been financially affected by COVID-19. City of Kingman implements budget cuts

Budget cuts underway for fiscal year 2021 KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is implementing budget cuts for fiscal year 2021, that may include leaving certain positions in city government unfilled.
