MOHAVE COUNTY – Coronavirus testing in Bullhead City a week ago revealed a concerning rate of infection within the pool. Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley told Mohave County Supervisors Thursday that 171 of the 200 people who pre-registered actually had tests conducted by North Country HealthCare (NCHC). “Twelve of the 90 tests collected on Friday were positive and 12 of the 81 tests collected on Saturday were positive,” Burley said. “That leads to a 14.5% positivity rate. KINGMAN  – As the state and county have seen a slight downward trend in overall positive tests of COVID-19, the rates of new cases and hospitalizations is still very high. There remains a risk to the well-being of citizens and additional strain on the healthcare facilities and workers in the City of Kingman. On July 26, Sunday evening at approximately 9:20 p.m., several Bullhead City Fire Department (BCFD) units were dispatched to a reported structure fire the 1700 block of Diamond Dr. The first arriving units reported smoke and flames showing from a single-story residence. After receiving some conflicting reports that one person may still be inside of the structure, Engine 761s crew made entry through the front door advancing to a rear bedroom.
