KINGMAN – Batting cages are the anchor for a family fun center Mike Quinn has opened on Northern Avenue at Lomita in Kingman. Quinn’s Cages feature three hitting areas occupying 3,500 sq. ft. inside an 8,300 sq. ft. building. “We have three automatic cages for baseball and softball,” Quinn said. “The softball ranges from slow pitch to fast pitch all the way up to 60 miles per hour. “ Quinn said the machines can hurl a baseball at 70 miles an hour, but it’s more like 80 miles an hour given the distance from the apparatus to the batter’s box….

Lisa Atkins, State Land Commissioner, spoke at a recent Kingman Republican Women’s Club meeting to approximately 25 people about her duties as Land Commissioner and provided those present with maps depicting State land as well as other land ownership in the State of Arizona. She provided an historical perspective of State land and spoke about land sales, use of State land and the Trust and the recent sale of a section of State Land in the Phoenix area.
