How far should presidential immunity reach?

Dear Editor, Let us presume Donald Trump prevails in his argument, that as president he should be immune from prosecution, even if his action violates standard law. The question I have is, if he wins this inane argument. What in the world would this mean if Joe Biden ordered Seal Team Six to execute Trump, would Joe Bide not be held accountable because he is currently president? Burglary suspect charged; investigation continues

MOHAVE VALLEY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s office reports the arrest of a Mohave Valley woman in a burglary investigation. 29-year-old Jazmen Hickstein is charged with burglary, theft and trafficking stolen property. Hickstein was arrested following a Jan. 15 warrant-based search of a Mohave Valley home in the 10000 block of S. Queens Rd. The search was follow-up by investigators looking into a break-in last August where another Mohave Valley home was burgled while unoccupied for several months. “Items stolen from the house included the victim’s vehicle, tools, electronics, jewelry and mail,” said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “Several of…

Downtown fire death accidental

KINGMAN – Kingman police continue a death investigation associated with a fire at a makeshift dwelling on a rocky hillside in downtown Kingman. A family hiking a pathway within the White Cliffs hiking trail system came across the body of the victim north of where Eighth Street dead ends at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. Deputy police chief Joel Freed said it appeared the man was burned when his mattress caught fire. He said investigators determined he escaped the fire scene but fell and sustained further injuries.
