Waterway enforcement will be in effect over holiday weekend

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Division of Boating Safety will be deploying patrol watercraft along the Colorado River and Lake Havasu this Memorial Day weekend, from the Bullhead City limits to the Parker Dam. Boating units will be enforcing Arizona law, while also educating, and assisting boaters. Emphasis will be placed on reckless operation, safety violations, and alcohol violations. The MCSO Division of Boating Safety will also deploy River Medical Paramedics on several MCSO patrol boats throughout the waterways to be able to provide expedient medical attention to those in need. Wreck and run

KINGMAN – A Kingman man fled on foot after crashing his vehicle into a fence along the Beale Street exit from Stockton Hill Road Wednesday. The incident before 8:00 a.m. was highly visible to those who commute to work in the downtown area. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said Matthew Clawson was bleeding when officers located and apprehended him just a few blocks from the accident.
