Waterway enforcement will be in effect over holiday weekend

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Division of Boating Safety will be deploying patrol watercraft along the Colorado River and Lake Havasu this Memorial Day weekend, from the Bullhead City limits to the Parker Dam.

Boating units will be enforcing Arizona law, while also educating, and assisting boaters. Emphasis will be placed on reckless operation, safety violations, and alcohol violations.

The MCSO Division of Boating Safety will also deploy River Medical Paramedics on several MCSO patrol boats throughout the waterways to be able to provide expedient medical attention to those in need.

Members of the MCSO Dive Rescue and Recovery Team will also be deployed on several patrol boats throughout the area in order to provide quick rescue efforts in the event of a critical

incident.
