MCSO receives grant funding

Sheriff Doug Schuster has announced that the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has received funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to purchase: ~ Portable Breath Test machines ($3,511) ~ Radar Units for Patrol vehicles ($5,100) The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office will use the Portable Breath Testers as a way to enhance DUI enforcement throughout Mohave County. They currently use PBT machines for DUI cases, however half of the patrol deputies do not have a PBT machine readily available for their use. Dear Editor, I would like to address the total lack of regard to the already outrageous issue of human trafficking and the direct connection between it and homelessness, drug addiction, struggling single mothers and the officials who are in the position to protect but do not. I am a victim of this horrific crime and it is my community that helped put me here.
