Five arrested in near half-million dollar drug seizure

KINGMAN – A six-month-long Kingman drug investigation culminated Nov. 3 with significant seizures and five arrests. Kingman police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said federal agents assisted the local MAGNET narcotics task force with the execution of search warrants at one home in the 400 block of Wilshire Avenue and another in the 2000 block of Davis Avenue. Sochocki said a total of 10 pounds of methamphetamine and more than 500 counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to be made of fentanyl were seized. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Office of Tourism and Economic Development have launched an “Explore Kingman” shopping incentive in collaboration Hownd. The program supported in-part by the Arizona Office of Tourism, Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce, and Kingman Main Street, is designed to bring local brick-and-mortar retail businesses more customers and revenue. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Manager Sam Elters used Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting to shine bright light on internal achievement once again. This time Elters praised Economic Development Director Tami Ursenbach for prestigious recognition by the Arizona Association for Economic Development Association (AAED).
