William Benoff, Jr., of Kingman, died Friday, November 6, 2020. He was 76. Mr. Benoff was born July 11, 1944 in Willmar, Minn. The family contact is his daughter Marie Alice Hoffmier. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
KINGMAN – A six-month-long Kingman drug investigation culminated Nov. 3 with significant seizures and five arrests. Kingman police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said federal agents assisted the local MAGNET narcotics task force with the execution of search warrants at one home in the 400 block of Wilshire Avenue and another in the 2000 block of Davis Avenue. Sochocki said a total of 10 pounds of methamphetamine and more than 500 counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to be made of fentanyl were seized. LAKE HAVASU CITY – City offices are closed on Wednesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Police and Fire Department services are unaffected, however Administrative Offices and the Aquatic Center are closed. All City offices resume normal schedules on Thursday, November 12. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Manager Sam Elters used Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting to shine bright light on internal achievement once again. This time Elters praised Economic Development Director Tami Ursenbach for prestigious recognition by the Arizona Association for Economic Development Association (AAED). Elters said Ursenbach won two categories at the AAED’s recent 2020 Golden Prospector Awards ceremony. Elters said economic development in Mohave County is in good hands under her leadership. “We’re grateful for your efforts.
