LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Police report separate drug arrests the first two days of this month. Police responded at 8:20 a.m. Sunday to conduct a welfare check after it was reported a subject was passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Pauline Drive and Honeybear Drive. A Kingman man was arrested Monday for alleged sex offenses involving a 16-year-old girl in Arkansas. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said David Joseph Cruz, 40, had a long distance, year-long communication involvement with the girl he met through social media. “During their relationship, Cruz requested and received nude photos and videos of the victim,” said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “Cruz communicated with the victim through video chat, phone calls and text messages.” Cruz reportedly admitted his involvement when interviewed by detectives.
