Battle with cops ends in arrest

BULLHEAD CITY –  Bullhead City police had difficulty apprehending a local resident after responding to a domestic violence report in the 1900 block of Clearwater Drive. Daniel Wilson, 40, reportedly fled the residence before officers arrived at 7:15 a.m., Nov. 25. Agency spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said police learned that Wilson had argued with his girlfriend and broke things in their home. Officers located Wilson as he was jumping over several fences in the neighborhood. “He actively resisted police arrest and a taser was deployed. Colt Builders coming to Kingman’s Industrial Park

KINGMAN – A leader in the wood framing industry is setting up shop at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. Colt Builders has purchased ten acres of undeveloped land from Bulk Industrial to establish a plant to produce prefabricated wood wall panels. A city-issued news release said the company will initially invest $3-million and up to $6 million more during phased in development that could eventually produce 50 new jobs. MEADVIEW – The Mohave County Sheriff’s office reports the arrests of two Las Vegas men in a death investigation. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the body of a suspected murder victim was recovered Sunday from a remote desert area near Greg’s Hideout, near Meadview. Mortensen said the man who died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head was identified as Jeffrey Earl Bushaw, 45, Las Vegas. KINGMAN – A Golden Valley man snared in a multi-agency investigation focused on two Kingman-based Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO’s) has entered a plea agreement that will send him to the Arizona Department of Corrections. John Holcomb, 57, is one of 24 defendants indicted in the Operation King Crimson investigation. Holcomb pleaded guilty Tuesday to one felony charge reduced to conspiracy to commit possession of dangerous drugs for sale.
