Two arrested in Meadview death investigation

MEADVIEW – The Mohave County Sheriff’s office reports the arrests of two Las Vegas men in a death investigation. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the body of a suspected murder victim was recovered Sunday from a remote desert area near Greg’s Hideout, near Meadview.

Mortensen said the man who died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head was identified as Jeffrey Earl Bushaw, 45, Las Vegas. The sheriff’s office issued a Nov. 16 news release seeking help in locating Bushaw who had last been seen in the Meadview area on Nov. 12.

Mortensen said investigation led to Tuesday’s arrests of Christopher Albert Eash, 46, and Joshua Paul Stone, 34.

“The victim and Eash were mining partners who lived at a temporary residence in the area,” Mortensen said. She said the murder motive is unknown but that the investigation continues.

Eash is charged with first degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and abandoning a dead body. Stone faces the latter counts but is not charged with murder.
