MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of non-specific threats to schools nationwide. Several vague and anonymous social media posts have encouraged acts of violence to occur at schools across the country today, December 17. While the origin of the threats remains unknown, the Sheriff’s Office takes this information very seriously. We have not been made aware of any threats to any schools in Mohave County. As a result of this information, the Sheriff’s Office will increase law enforcement resources and patrols. Andres “Andy” Delgado

Andres “Andy” Delgado, 98, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away on December 10, 2021 after living a long life filled with love and family. Andy was born on November 6, 1923 to Juan and Guadalupe Roseo Delgado in Yucca, Arizona. Andy attended school in Yucca before joining the Army on February 6, 1943 during World War II. Andy served in the United States Army faithfully for three years. During that time, Andy served as a construction foreman in the Philippines, New Guinea, and Ryukus. Dear Editor, We had difficulties when we were growing up in Martin County, Kentucky but, overall, we thought we were doing okay. President Lyndon Johnson came to Inez, Kentucky in 1964 to let us know we weren’t doing very well.
