Dear Editor, My extended family seems to be feeling the pinch this holiday season. They have all voted to scotch the expensive gift-giving this Christmas, and just give each other time. Tell that to 1% America though. They have had a banner couple of years. A couple of notable indicators of their successes can be ascertained from public reports of big city gala events and advertisements in very selective media. Lake Havasu City Holiday Closures

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24, for the Christmas holiday and Friday, Dec. 31 for the New Year’s Day holiday.  Aquatic Center and Havasu Mobility services are unavailable. Police and Fire Department services are unaffected, however administrative offices are closed. All City offices resume normal schedules on Monday, Dec. 27 following the Christmas holiday and Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 following the New Year’s Day holiday. Please Note: Trash and recycling services are not impacted.

KINGMAN – Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin is reporting progress with respect to the proposed Interstate 40 Rancho Santa Fe Interchange and Parkway project. Foggin expressed excitement in his Thursday afternoon memo to the Mayor and Council members. Foggin said Kingman has received an executed copy of the development agreement along with a check for $54,000 that was due to the city when the agreement was signed. Foggin said project partner Sunbelt Development has indicated confidence it can demonstrate that financing will be officially secure by early next year. “With the signed agreement in place, KDP Managers will need to provide…

The City Clerk’s office requests that those interested in running for Kingman City Council make an appointment, so the clerks can review election information with those interested in running.
