KINGMAN – The 15th Annual Brews and Brats Oktoberfest, presented by the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club, will take place Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, at Metcalfe Park. Kingman’s original and longest running Oktoberfest, the Brews and Brats Oktoberfest will feature craft beer from Black Bridge Brewery, grilled bratwurst and sauerkraut, German pretzels, and other offerings. There will be live entertainment throughout the weekend, dancing, vendors, and fun! BULLHEAD CITY – A local judge heard rival pleas for leniency and for maximum punishment during a Sept. 22 sentencing hearing involving a Bullhead City traffic fatality in which both drivers were impaired, one by alcohol and the other by marijuana. Megan Jergens previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault charges associate with the July 15, 2021 traffic accident at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Baseline Road. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to announce that applications to fill the vacant position on the City Council are now available in the City Clerk’s office and on the City of Kingman website at: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/government/election-information. The Council will be accepting applications from interested persons until October 5, 2023. Potential appointees will be interviewed at a Special Council Meeting on October 11 with an official swearing in at the Regular Council Meeting on October 17. Arizonans took to state highways for National Cleanup Day

Effort organized by ADOT Adopt a Highway removed 214 bags of litter PHOENIX – Arizonans did their part on the recent National Cleanup Day by picking up 214 bags of litter along state highways through the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Adopt a Highway volunteer program. Fifteen groups with 123 volunteers answered the call to participate in this special event on Saturday, Sept.16. Some of those groups have adopted highway miles through Adopt a Highway, while others joined in for the day.
