Kingman City Council vacancy applications now available

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to announce that applications to fill the vacant position on the City Council are now available in the City Clerk’s office and on the City of Kingman website at: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/government/election-information. The Council will be accepting applications from interested persons until October 5, 2023. Potential appointees will be interviewed at a Special Council Meeting on October 11 with an official swearing in at the Regular Council Meeting on October 17. With more than two years left on the term vacated by former Councilmember Cameron Patt, the selected appointee will serve as a temporary placement while the remaining two year councilmember term is placed on the August 2024 election ballot. The prerequisites for interested applicants are:

1. You must live within Kingman city limits for at least one year prior to any Primary, General or Special City Election.

2. You must be a registered voter in the State of Arizona.

3. You must also be able to read, write, and speak English.
