Bullhead brush fire burned itself out

BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, October 29, at about 8:50 p.m., several of the Bullhead City Fire Department (BHCFD) crews were dispatched to a brush fire across from 660 Hwy. 95 near the river’s edge. Ladder 721s crew arrived first on the scene, reporting that the fire was not easily accessible. Acting Battalion Chief Marvin McCabe, along with L721s crew monitored the fire and its movement with winds in excess of 25 mph. GV man charged with child molestation

GOLDEN VALLEY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Detectives arrested Larry Dennis Hayes, 34, of Golden Valley, for three felony counts of molestation of a child. On October 22, deputies were contacted by Department of Child Safety in regards to the alleged molestation. According to an MCSO press release, deputies made contact with the 13-year-old male victim’s grandmother who made the initial report. Detectives responded to a residence in the 7000 block of Chino Dr. in Golden Valley and made contact with Hayes, who admitted to inappropriately touching the victim on three separate occasions.
