Havasu virus case marks 49th for county

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 15, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified today of a positive COVID-19 case in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual, is in the 65+ age range, and is currently hospitalized. Nurses will initiate the contact investigation soon; therefore, at this time it cannot be determined if this case is epidemiologically-linked to another case or travel-related. BHC school board meeting to be livestreamed; public comments should be submitted

BULLHEAD CITY – For the second time in a week, a local school board will hold its monthly meeting via videoconferencing.  Thursday night’s governing board meeting of the Bullhead City Elementary School District will be conducted by videoconference due to COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.  The April 16 meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube and accessible to the public.  Call to the public comments will be accepted in advance. LAKE HAVASU CITY – As high unemployment continues due to the current worldwide health crisis, one popular tourist destination in western Arizona is battling food insecurity.
