Updated budget calendar located on City of Kingman website

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is currently developing the budget for fiscal year 2021 and reducing expenditures for the current year. Upcoming budget work sessions will be held for the City Council to review and provide input on the proposed budget, before they are asked to approve it in June. During the work sessions, Council can make changes to the proposed budget, before their final vote. The work sessions will be viewable on the city’s YouTube page. WALTER LEE SHETLER

Walter Lee Shetler was born in Cheraw, Colorado on July 25, 1929, to Milton and Ada Shetler.  He died on March 9, 2020 peacefully in his sleep at the home of his youngest daughter, Kathy, in Golden Valley, AZ.  Walter was the seventh child of six brothers and four sisters.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter. Walter married Betty Slatter on December 18, 1949 in Filer, Idaho. They had 5 children: Marilyn (David McArdle), Joann Thompson, Walter Gene, Kathy (Paul Wood), and Richard (Roslyn Gilmore). Walter had 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren….

County virus cases reach 54

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 17, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified early this evening of two positive COVID-19 cases, one each in the Kingman and Lake Havasu City service areas. Both individuals are in the 20-44 age range, in isolation and recovering at home. Our staff will soon be initiating the contact investigation; until the investigation is conducted, it is unknown at this time if the case may be travel-related, epidemiologically-linked to another confirmed case, or the result of community spread.
