Woman commits suicide in holding cell

BULLHEAD CITY – A local woman reportedly committed suicide in a Bullhead City holding cell late Sunday afternoon. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said 34-year-old Amber Dawne Fagundes was unresponsive when she was discovered with an undisclosed item wrapped around her neck at 4:20 p.m. Fagundes was being detained on disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia charges. The Bullhead City Police Department has added texting into its 911 answering system, allowing residents in need of emergency services to text when calling is not an option.
