CRUHSD seeks grant funding

BULLHEAD CITY –The Colorado River Union High School District is applying for a competitive Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, administered by the Arizona Department of Education.   CRUHSD’s application is for Mohave High School.  If awarded the grant, MHS would use the funding to continue after-school and “Flex Friday” programs that offer intervention and enrichment activities to all students.  There would also be classes for parents.  Those programs, available to all parents, would be finalized depending upon the grant awards. Robert Walter Sypniewski, of Kingman, died Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was 74. Mr. Sypniewski was born Jan. 5, 1947 in Germany. A viewing and service were held Feb. 25 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery. The family contact is his brother Stephen Charles Sypniewski. The Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce helped commemorate the grand opening of Dulcerias Lola in Bullhead City this week. The candy and decorations store owner Julissa Guiberra has been in the tri-state for many years and said it was a longtime dream to open this business. Dulcerias Lola is family-owned and provides party supplies and candy.
