KINGMAN – Carole Young is defending herself against allegations that she should resign or be removed from the Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) governing board for failing to comply with a residency requirement. Christopher Henry Grigg passed away on  April 21, 2021, at his home in Valentine, Arizona. He had a long battle with cancer.  Chris was born in Kingman, Ariz., to John and Dorothy Grigg on November 2, 1954. Chris grew up in Hackberr,y Ariz. He attended grade school there and junior high school in Kingman. He then went to work as a cowboy, and worked on lots of ranches and feed yards around Arizona and Texas. Flag fire update: 1,000 acres consumed; no donations needed at this time

KINGMAN – Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson has declared a County Emergency until further notice as a result of the Flag Fire in the Hualapai Mountains.  The Flag Fire started yesterday afternoon between the Flag Mine and Wild Cow campground, and evacuation of Pine Lake, the park itself and the Hualapai Mountain Lodge have occurred.  The Red Cross is handling evacuees at the Palo Christi Elementary School in Kingman.
