– There are as many as a half dozen mystery candidates for the Mohave County Manager position. During Monday’s special Board meeting, supervisors indicated they want to interview as many as six more candidates beyond the three recommended by a screening panel. Accordintg to a post from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Colorado Belle, an iconic hotel-casino on the Colorado River in Laughlin, will stay closed for the foreseeable future and lay off its 400 workers. Casino operator Golden Entertainment Inc. said closures to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in March and uncertainty about the return of the market led to the decision. Golden publicly acknowledged the Planned closure on Monday.
