Daryl Tyson (1940–2026)
Born on September 17, 1940, in Denver, CO to Bill and Arva Tyson, he was the middle child between his two sisters, Ann and Jean. When Bud was four the family moved to Portland, OR where he lived until leaving home for college. Through the years he biked a newspaper route, worked as a janitor at his school, was a soda jerk at a drugstore, and later he was the drugstore delivery boy, driving all over Portland to deliver prescriptions. After graduating high school, Bud started at Oregon State University but had to drop out in his sophomore year due to an illness. After a brief stint of working for the government, Bud spent most of his career in telephony. He finished his college education later in life through the University of Phoenix and after retiring from telephony, his final career was as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance in Bullhead City, AZ.
The most important choice Bud made in his lifetime was, at the age of 8, he began his walk with God. He was true to that choice all his life, enriching the lives of his family and friends.
Bud is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn; his children: Daran (Dikilyn) Tyson of Farmington, NM, Evonne (Cruey) Spencer of Kingman, AZ and Monte Tyson of Lincolnton, NC; his grandchildren: Abigail (Dylan) Terry, of Farmington, NM, Tyson (Anastasia) Spencer, of Kingman, AZ, Alexa (Chris) Cortez, of Farmington, NM, Braden Spencer, of Northern AZ, Cameron Spencer, of Flagstaff, AZ, Austyn Tyson, of Farmington, NM, Hannah Tyson, of Lincolnton, NC, William Tyson of Newton, NC and Jonathon Tyson, of Lincolnton, NC; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Jean Schrock, of Vancouver, WA; sister-in-law, Cathy Johnson of Lakewood, CO, as well as three nieces and two nephews.
