KINGMAN, Ariz. – The 3rd Annual Monster Mutt Mash was held Saturday, Oct. 17, in the Petco parking lot. It was a night of Trunk or Treat and Halloween costumes for pets and their owners.
Amber Crabtree of Amber’s Mutt Hut, organized the event.
“We do it to raise funds for Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter,” Crabtree said

To enter their pet in the Halloween costumes contest, the owner pays $5 per pet. Everything else is free.
That includes all the businesses who bring hundreds of treats, mostly for dogs, and either set up a table like the folks from Ambient Edge Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing or just offer them from the trunks of their vehicles like most of the businesses present did.
There was music, Michael Myers lurked in the shadows, and about two dozen pets going from trunk to table to trunk for the doggie treats.
Katie Acevedo of Doggy Doo was there handing out doggie treats with her daughters – Lucy, 2 and Cali, 7.
“I go scoop poop,” Acevedo said. “If a senior citizen or anyone who has a dog, let’s them out in their backyard and for some reason can’t keep it picked up, they call me.”
