Born October 7, 1952 in Alhambra, CA, Beverly Jean Liles passed away peacefully on October 17, 2020. Beverly will be missed by many community leaders, friends, family and loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ruth Long of Kingman, AZ, Beverly is survived by her sister Sharon Parsons of California and her sister Janice Long of Utah. Beverly had two daughters, Jackie Zufelt of Utah and Donnell R. Buckley of California, and step son Donald Liles of Indiana. She was loved by her granddaughters Shauna and McKayla Zufelt, and her grandson Justin Buckley. Beverly moved to Kingman…

Dear Editor, The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce is in support of authorizing the City to sell and develop approximately 1813.40 acres of City-owned property located in the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park. Having this land available for sale will encourage future industrial and airport growth as outlined in the 2019 Kingman Airport and Industrial Park impact analysis. The land has been formally declared as surplus property to be sold to interested companies or at public auction. Per statute any City-owned property valued above $1,500,000 must be referred to voters for authorization of sale. Passage of this initiative would eliminate…

Nicole Nee Logan, of El Mirage, Ariz., died Monday, Oct. 12, 2020. She was 28. Ms. Logan was born March 20, 1992 in Kingman, Ariz. A viewing will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home., with services following at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. KINGMAN – A 35-year prison term was ordered Monday for a Laughlin man snared in an undercover sting operation targeting males preying upon minors for sex. Judge Doug Camacho piled on the years Monday for Jay Lawler, 46, convicted at trial of luring a minor, aggravated luring of a minor, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted sexual conduct with a minor. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman and the Kingman Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to launch a Shop Local Kingman campaign. This campaign, paid for by the City Economic Development Department and coordinated by the Kingman Chamber of Commerce, is to encourage the community to support local, small businesses by shopping and dining locally.
