Kingman Shop Local campaign kicks off

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman and the Kingman Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to launch a Shop Local Kingman campaign. This campaign, paid for by the City Economic Development Department and coordinated by the Kingman Chamber of Commerce, is to encourage the community to support local, small businesses by shopping and dining locally. The Shop Local Kingman campaign began on September 27, and will end on Small Business Saturday, November 28. They are encouraging as many community members as possible to participate in the Shop Local Kingman campaign.

Kingman Mayor Jen Miles said, “Buying locally strengthens our community and supports our small, local businesses that have been hit so hard by the pandemic. The city is happy to partner with the Kingman Chamber to implement this Shop Local Kingman campaign. This is another great stride in city partnerships to help keep our local businesses thriving during such a difficult year.”

A participant who purchases $20 or more at any brick and mortar small business within the city limits automatically qualifies. For the purpose of this program, a small business is any locally owned shop, store, or restaurant, including locally owned franchises but not chain stores such as Walmart, Safeway, Smith’s, Walgreens, etc.

After enough entries have been received, the Kingman Chamber of Commerce will begin drawing for weekly Shop Local Kingman winners who will receive a gift basket valued at $250. At the end of the program, all entries will be added back into the pool and a grand prize winner will be drawn, with that winner receiving a gift basket valued at $500.

To enter the weekly drawing, please email a copy of your receipt to shoplocal@kingmanchamber.com or @KingmanChamber on Facebook with your name, email, and phone number or bring your receipt to the Chamber of Commerce main office at 405 E. Beale Street in Downtown Kingman. For more information, contact the Chamber at (928) 753-6253.
