New District Administrator takes helm at ADOT northwestern district

KINGMAN – Kara Lavertue is the new District Administrator for the entire Northwestern District of the Arizona Department of Transportation. She began her new position May 11, which was a promotion.

Prior to her promotion, Ms. Lavertue said she was a Resident Engineer in the Prescott Valley area. Her office remains in Prescott, but she plans to visit Kingman every two weeks.

“I look forward to overseeing all of this,” Lavertue said. “We have a lot of projects going right now that should be completed soon.”

She said the West Beale Street project should be finished in late spring 2027.

She added, “I look forward to working with the community and getting more roads fixed.”
