Soroptimist annual event for middle, high school girls set

Pre-registration deadline is March 14 KINGMAN – Soroptimist International of Kingman will hold its annual Dream It, Be It at White Cliffs Middle School on Saturday, March 28. This one-day event is a day of knowledge and inspiration to help consider aspirations in young women in middle and high school. The event is from 8:15a.m.to 4:00 p.m. with sign in/registration beginning at 7:45. The deadline for pre-registration is March 14. Missing Yucca woman found dead

YUCCA – A missing persons case has ended tragically in Yucca. The body of a person last seen Thursday was discovered Sunday during a Mohave County Search and Rescue operation. Authorities said a neighbor last saw Constance Greene, 74, last Thursday after she returned from an out-of-state funeral for her husband. The neighbor checked on Greene Friday and reported her missing as neither Greene nor her 2012 Toyota Camry were at her Yucca residence. “Search teams began a route and location search from her home to attempt to find the vehicle,” a news release said. “A ground search team located…

KINGMAN – On Feb 20, The Mohave County Community College Small Business Development Center, held a Safety for Small Business Owners Training at the Kingman Powerhouse Visitor Center, in Kingman. The class was free and open to anyone interested in small businesses. The training was overseen by SBDC representatives Lisa Card and Meghan Borker. Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare in the School Tour takes Kingman

KINGMAN – Tuesday, February 18, The Positive Alternative Campus and Lee Williams High School sponsored the Utah Shakespeare Festivals Shakespeare in the Schools Tour. Doors opened at 6:30 for general seating and the free performance began at 7:00, while accepting donations at the door at the Lee Williams auditorium. The tour travels to schools and venues every year from January to April. This year they performed Romeo and Juliet. BHC police seek robbery suspect

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police have distributed security system images hoping that citizens might recognize the man who reportedly robbed a gas station and convenience market early Monday. Police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said the male adult suspect started shoving cigarettes into a small suitcase after entering the AM/PM in the 2100 block of Highway 95 at 4:15 a.m. “He shouted at the clerk to open the register,” Fromelt said in a news release. “The clerk believed he was armed with a Taser. Norman Robert Maddux passed away on February 22, 2020 at the age of 85, he has returned to the GOD that gave him life.
