BULLHEAD CITY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Search and Rescue (SAR) Bullhead Unit hosted a free community outreach event held at Community Park in Bullhead City Saturday. Alleged child abductor babbles during court proceeding

KINGMAN – An alleged child abductor babbled biblically during an extradition hearing before a Kingman judge last week. Judge Billy Sipe ended the hearing without getting Dustin Messner, 37, to waive extradition to return to California.    Messner allegedly kidnapped his eight-year-old son in Stockton in early April before the boy was rescued and he was arrested at his property in Golden Valley. Messner told Judge Sipe last Thursday that he wasn’t bound by Arizona or Mohave County law and that he only followed the law of God.    A Governor’s warrant will be used to return Messner to California for prosecution.

Homicide in north Kingman under investigation

KINGMAN – A shooting death early Monday, May 4 in north Kingman is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded at 4:47 a.m. to a report that multiple gunshots were fired in the vicinity of a home in the 900 block of John Norman Ln. “Deputies arrived on scene and observed a male subject deceased in the roadway with three gunshot wounds to the head, neck, and face,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “A shotgun and three spent shotgun shells were located near the victim’s body.” Mortensen said deputies observed Christopher Robin Kacos, 33 of Kingman, on the property….
