Alleged child abductor babbles during court proceeding

KINGMAN – An alleged child abductor babbled biblically during an extradition hearing before a Kingman judge last week. Judge Billy Sipe ended the hearing without getting Dustin Messner, 37, to waive extradition to return to California.

Messner allegedly kidnapped his eight-year-old son in Stockton in early April before the boy was rescued and he was arrested at his property in Golden Valley. Messner told Judge Sipe last Thursday that he wasn’t bound by Arizona or Mohave County law and that he only followed the law of God.

A Governor’s warrant will be used to return Messner to California for prosecution.
