Mosquito fogging at Havasu’s Body Beach on Friday

MOHAVE COUNTY –  Due to the presence of mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus in the area of Body Beach in Lake Havasu City, an adult mosquito control treatment will take place on Friday morning, August 7beginning at 4 a.m. Fogging will be completed by sunrise, and the area will be safe for re-entry after 10 a.m. People must avoid the Body Beach area during the hours of 4 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Friday. Quad crash, suicide updates

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s office has released the names of victims who died in separate crash and suspected suicide incidents. Two 13-year-old girls were killed when the quad they were riding was struck by a pickup truck whose driver fled the scene of the July 25 collision on Pierce Ferry Road in Dolan Springs. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Anita Mortensen identified the teens as Evelyn Arias, Dolan Springs, and Jocelyn Escamilla, Las Vegas. A 19-year-old female who was also riding the quad who reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries remains in critical, but stable condition at a Las Vegas hospital. The…
