Yesterday’s is open now in Chloride

CHLORIDE – Newly renovated Yesterday’s Restaurant and Shep’s Miner’s Inn is open for business. Rich in history, its main building was built to house a late 1800’s stage-coach repair and rest stop. A sometimes “watering-hole” for celebrities and a stepping-stone site for movie carriers of Jack Nicholson and Bruce Dern, Yesterday’s became a favored stopover for Mel Tillis, second singing home for Joe Feeney (Irish Tenor on Lawrence Welk), and starting place for Talent Quest, world’s largest Karaoke competition.

Owner’s Dean and Dollie Kenedy, together with family members have re-modeled the popular restaurant and motel while at the same time maintaining its famous old-west atmosphere. “It’s taken a lot of hard work, but worth every step to make it one of Arizona’s finest motel and restaurant combinations,” says Dollie. Upgrades to motel rooms include new air-conditioning, carpet and several amenities such as free wi-fi and complimentary breakfast.

When asked what he wants people to know about Yesterday’s Dean stated, “Our cooks are excellent and Dollie prepares a variety of her deliciously famous deserts. Our atmosphere is family friendly and our motel rooms are very comfortable. We also have rooms available for people traveling with their pets. Even if people aren’t interested in dining or spending the night, we urge them to stop by and view the “old-west” ambience that includes a large mural type painting that one time adorned walls of Las Vegas’ Desert Inn. Our staff is delighted to offer information about historic Chloride, its surroundings, and provide directions to world famous Roy Purcell murals.”

Open seven days a week, hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday’s and Saturdays. Presently multi-talented Professor Bill entertains Saturday evenings.

For dining and motel reservations call (928) 565- 4251, or for additional information go to www.chlorideaz.com.
