Havasu Mobility earns 2019 AzTA/ADOT Outstanding Special Needs Transportation Program Award

Havasu Mobility received the Outstanding Special Needs Transportation Program award at the 32nd Annual Arizona Transit Association Conference in Mesa, Arizona. Five agencies were nominated, with Havasu Mobility being nominated by MileMarkers Therapy. Patrick Cipres, Havasu Mobility Program Supervisor, accepted the award on behalf of Lake Havasu City. The Outstanding Special Needs Transportation Program Award recognizes Havasu Mobility for outstanding services provided to the elderly and persons with disabilities, including innovation, operations efficiency, and/or customer service.

Havasu Mobility is a transportation program operated by Lake Havasu City to provide seniors, persons with disabilities, military veterans and low income city residents in our community with transportation to get to medical appointments, pharmacy, work, social service agencies, courthouse or grocery store. Havasu Mobility also provides a ride to seniors that attend the noon meal at the local senior center. Havasu Mobility provides an average of 60 rides per day with its demand response curb-to-curb service.
