Transportation Summit, wastewater treatment discussed at LHC Council

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City will be entering an agreement with Jacobs Engineering Group for a South Intake Influent Project. This project will give 100 percent plans and specs for construction of the interconnection for water waste treatment plants for Mulberry Avenue and Island.

This will be for repurposing one pump with required valving. The other intention of the project will be to cover the Aquifer Protection Permit Amendment and application process.

The project will be a seven-month design process scheduled to be done in March 2025 and permit completions to be finished by June 2025. The city repealed Article X with our airport advisory team.

The airport division is making strides to improve community outreach with airport items of interest. Board members praised the organization for their airport manager coffee meetings where citizens are able to voice opinions, suggestions, and concerns.

Lake Havasu will be participating in the 25th Annual Rural Transportation Summit. The summit is intended for Rural Arizona where appointed local government officials along with transportation professionals and legislators create solutions to improve transportation in greater Arizona.

This is a long-term plan for improving transportation and infrastructures for pedestrians and bicyclists. It was addressed that Lake Havasu has aging infrastructures under our roadways which adds additional costs for repairs.

The city invested an additional 17.5 million into giving improvements for delays in traffic, preventing dangerous road conditions, and maintaining valuable resources like water. Phaedra Veronique
