LAKE HAVASU CITY – If you’re someone who is thinking of starting their own home-based business but you’re hesitant to get started, there’s three ladies from Monat Global that can show you how it’s done. The trio made a visit to Lake Havasu to share their advice with anyone wanting to be their own boss and work from home. The three entrepreneur’s Super Saturday with Top Income Earners event took place on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at the London Bridge Resort. This event was free to the public with a market partner fee of only $10 that went towards all of Havasu’s charities.

Top home-based earners of the hair, cosmetics, and skincare brand, are Christina Smallwood, Christa Paarni, and Britty Rose, who were the speakers on the panel of the Saturday morning meet and greet. The three ambitious young ladies never thought they would come into the success they have achieved in their current roles. The women shared their journeys on the road to their dreams, which were met with many obstacles.

The success of the company’s Southern California location was brought on by the leadership of Smallwood, who is now the Associate Executive Director of Monat Global. Smallwood’s story is one that began with fear and grief. The dedicated director along with her husband were dealing with the loss of parents and adopting a child with special needs. Smallwood dived into her work as a coping mechanism to deal with her personal struggles.  The balance between career and family became a challenge and the entrepreneur often felt like she was missing out on spending time with her family. Smallwood owes her current success to a change of attitude, something she feels that any aspiring business owner needs to have. She feels that overcoming rejection, trying new strategies, and believing that you can achieve your dreams, are some of the key elements that helped the Associate Director reach career heights. Smallwood’s perseverance has helped her land high profile opportunities for the television show, Real Housewives of Orange County.

Paarni’s success story, on the other hand, is proof that you don’t need a college degree to accomplish your goals. Originally from Oklahoma, the Senior Executive Director of the brand is from humble beginnings who lived in a travel trailer as a child. She witnessed her parents develop businesses and sell them. Seeing their negotiating skills wound up the being the foundation of Paarni’s big dreams of someday being her own boss. Twelve years ago, she started a wood furniture business on Pinterest. It was a business that eventually flourished into a custom wood furniture shop. Paarni began to expand on her dreams, and started reaching out to celebrities that inspired her. This was when her business began to really pick up. Paarni was invited to New York by television personality Bethenny Frankel as guest on her show; however, as the executive’s career continued to take off, her home life suffered. The mother of four boys needed to spend more time at home and in 2017, she partnered with Monat Global, a decision Paarni says was the best she made to obtain the balance between family and career.

“We gained the time to pour into us along with the flexibility to put our family first and work second.  We grew our family and moved back to the place we both grew up in to raise them. This never would have been possible prior to having a home based business,” Paarni said.

The biggest take away towards her success was to maintain consistency, ignore all outside negativities, and let go of past mistakes. Paarni maintains, “Everything you will ever do in your life starts with believing in yourself. You need to get over your past and learn to throw the rear-view mirror out the window while you’re focusing on your future.” Paarni has even started her own podcast where she helps all aspiring entrepreneurs achieve their career goals.

The company’s Socio Economic Developer is Britty Rose. The wife of a firefighter and mother of four, yearned to give more to her family. Rose spent nearly a decade trying out different jobs in real estate, notary work, and even authored a children’s book. When she accepted the role to work from home, she had no idea that someday she would be the company’s top earner. She credits much of her success to the popularity of social media, “We live in a world where we are getting groceries delivered to our front door and shop for the latest trends on social media platforms. Today, everything is at the click of a button. Social media has allowed us to connect with literally everyone all over the world,” Rose said.

She believes that achieving your goals needs to start within yourself. Rose concedes that, “When you believe in yourself, you are able to dream, achieve, and be more. Then you will be able to grasp more opportunities and rise.” The solution to get your home-based business up and running and still have time for loved ones is possible. It all starts with commitment, focus, and having a positive outlook.
