The church is not closing

Dear Editor,

In answer to Pastor Kent Simmons question in  the August 2, 2024 Standard, “Is the Church going out of business?” My answer is yes and no. Some churches may close, but others will stay open  until the government forces them to close.

Don’t laugh, that day is coming if the political climate stays as it is currently.

However, some churches will simply go “underground” just as they did in the beginning of Christianity. Church services will be held in homes, offices and, if necessary, in caves or

other hidden away places. Those who believe will find a way to worship.

  1. We here at Journey Church are 3,000 strong and growing.
BUT – we are not just a building. God is in our hearts and souls and our love for Christ will never die.
