KINGMAN – A local judge has issued another warrant for the arrest of an elderly animal hoarder who suffers mental health issues. Judge Doug Camacho did so on Friday, July 5, after Betty Fuschel, 78, failed to show up for her sentencing hearing at the Mohave County Law and Justice Center in Kingman.

MOHAVE COUNTY – The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Mohave County, Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City and surrounding areas later this week through Monday.
The desert heat can be very dangerous. Much of the forecast area means that everyone will be at risk due to long-duration heat and little to no overnight relief.
PHOENIX – Work is scheduled to get underway Thursday, July 11, on a free-flowing interchange connecting US 93 and Interstate 40 in Kingman.
The $106 million project is planned to eliminate delays that can occur for passenger and truck traffic on the main route between Las Vegas and Arizona. While traffic now must stop at a traffic signal where Beale Street intersects with I-40, a system-to-system interchange will feature ramps that allow traffic to flow freely.
KINGMAN – Kingman resident John Myers won three separate awards at the 2023 Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) crowning on June 26. TOPS is a community-building weight loss program designed to support health and wellness. After losing 98 lbs this year, John reached his goal weight of 250 pounds.
