KINGMAN — On Tuesday, April 7, the Kingman City Council voted unanimously on a Motion of Intent, which begins the process of increasing the city’s sales tax from 2.5% to 3%. The council chose an option that also includes a special rate for big ticket items like homes and cars, which could be approved following a public hearing in June.
PHOENIX – On Friday, March 6, Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed a bill that would have allowed funds from a newly created special conservative license plate to be donated to Turning Point USA, which is headquartered in Phoenix.
At the regular Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, March 2, Supervisor Ron Gould presented a list of 13 books upon completion of his review of recently donated materials.

Earlier this month, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to allow Supervisor Ron Gould to conduct a review of materials recently donated to the Mohave County Library. He argued that one of the books included in the donation is inappropriate for children and asked the board for 30 days to review the rest of the contents of the donation.
