Some 70 shelter pets get second change at forever homes

KINGMAN – On Thursday, May 8, the Kingman Police Department’s Animal Services Division joined forces with the Mohave County Animal Shelter, Feral Cat Warriors, and Wings of Rescue to give nearly 70 shelter pets a second chance at finding a forever home.

(L to R) KPD Animal Services Officer TF Pena, Chief R Cooper, Animal Services Officer Cody Smith.

Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens were gathered from local shelters and flown to Utah by Wings of Rescue – a nonprofit organization dedicated to transporting pets from high-risk shelters and disaster zones to areas where they have a better chance of adoption.

Special thanks to Charles Black, Strategic Operations Manager for Feral Cat Warriors, for securing funding to support this lifesaving mission – and others like it in the future.

Please spay and neuter your pets.
