KINGMAN – A 7.5-year prison term has been ordered for a Kingman man who entered a plea agreement to resolve three different methamphetamine cases. The punishment that Judge Billy Sipe imposed for Silverio Ojeda, 33, was prescribed in the plea deal entered June 24.

Two cases each charging Ojeda with possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia were dismissed. One of those involved a Kingman police “traffic stop” of the bicycle Ojeda was operating while possessing more than three grams of meth in Aug., 2025.

The defendant pleaded guilty to possession of dangerous drugs for sale involving seizure of more than five grams of meth. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jennifer Brodie said Ojeda was under investigation for alleged drug dealing when the meth was found on his person during a Feb., 2025 DPS traffic stop in the 2600 block of Northern Avenue.

Defense attorney Jaimye Ashley said the father of five children intends to use time in custody to change for the better by taking advantage of any available substance abuse counseling programs.
